Formerly known as the Austin Association of the Education of Young Children (AAEYC), the Austin Chapter of TXAEYC is a membership organization for early childhood professionals that works to promote high-quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood education in the Austin area. We the local chapter of the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TXAEYC). We offer a host of professional development, programs, and services to both members and non-members in order to strengthen the quality of early childhood education in our community. We were founded in 1959 and were the first affiliate of NAEYC in Texas.

Mission

The Austin Chapter of TXAEYC promotes and advocates for high-quality early care and education on behalf of young children, birth to age 8, their families and early childhood professionals in diverse and inclusive partnership with others to create a caring community of learners. 

Vision

All young children, birth to age 8, in central Texas thrive and learn in a community dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential.
